Pokes avenge loss, beat down Fox Cigar Bar behind mammoth HR's
23-13

The bats were busy at Wrigley Field on Thursday, and when the dust cleared Slow Poke had a 23-13 win over Fox Cigar Bar in seven innings.

Zak led the game off with a single, not a homerun... and then scored on a single by Mark. Sage followed up with a 295 foot 2-run homer. After the first inning Pokes put across 7 and never looked back. Every player had at least 2 hits including 4 from Josh, Sage, and Aaron.

In the fourth inning Clay and Tanner singled setting up Josh to hit a towering 3-run homer estimated at 400 feet. After the dust settled Trevor attempted to match it, but settled on a 95 foot popout to the first baseman.

Clay finished off the power with a 355 foot bomb in the 6th. Fox Cigar Bar simply could't keep up.

Mad Dogs pepper right field to defeat Slow Poke

20-30

Lisle got lit up in the 1st inning for 14 runs on some obviously horrible calls from the Home Plate Umpire. Being down 14 before picking up a bat proved to be too much to come back from. Pokes made it interesting picking away in the 1st and 2nd innings making the score 16-10, but quickly gave up 6 in the top of the 3rd.

Clay ended with 5 RBI's going 4 for 4 on the night. His slugging percentage took a hit when he held up at 2nd on a play he could have easily went to 3rd or home. The team ended with a total of 12 extra base hits, but forgot to take there gloves to the field.
