A good all around night with Pokes coming away with three wins.
The Randomizer was used to make the lineup for the nights competition.  After a few players were late and a "Coach" not allowing the lineup to proceed; the official lineup on the night was more placement then random.

The Competition (hits+walks) was fierce and came down to the very end.

Josh took home the tickets after the winner was decided by the RBI tie breaker.
Here's a look at the nights competition.  You will see that due to the Randomizer selecting Josh as the leadoff hitter he was able to squeeze in one extra at bat.  Ultimately this played no part in his win as he popped up to the shortstop in his final at bat.

6pm at DECA (A West)
W, 16-12

Pokes started the night off with a scare after pulling out the win despite hitting into THREE double plays (Trevor, Josh H, and Zak).
After two innings the score showed Pokes leading 2-1 with the top of the order leading off.  Twelve batters and nine hits later (six being singles) Pokes led comfortably by a score of 11-1.  The remainder of the game was crap with Slow Poke going three up three down in the fourth and sixth innings.
Luckily DECA's comeback came up short.
Sage led the way with four hits with Josh P, Clay, Tanner, and Landon close behind with three each.

7pm vs Bombers (A East)
W, 23-9

Bombers came out hot putting up a quick five runs to open the game and putting the pressure on.  Pokes responded well with six runs of their own capped off by a bases clearing single by Landon to make it 6-5.
Through three innings the score was all knotted up at seven with the Bombers threatening.  They had runners on first and third with one out until a grounder to Zak setup an inning ending double play. Bombers runner didn't concede the out at second and instead continued running, threw up his hands, and yelled.  With the double play executed nicely and complete Zak simply asked the young man not to yell in his general direction as he was trying to complete a play.  Zak informed the young man that if he made a motion similar to that again he may end up with the softball hitting his face and knocking him unconscious.  A fair warning I thought.  After a quick discussion on the infield play resumed.  Pokes took control of the game putting up a five spot in the bottom of the fourth and never relinquished the lead.
Skylers five hits and Josh P's five RBI's led to the victory.

8pm at Bombers (A West)
W, 33-10

Bombers fared no differently in the final game of the night even after taking the lead 5-3 after the first inning.
The top of the second destroyed all hope for Bombers as Pokes scored two runs followed by two quick outs.  With two outs Slow Poke sent nine guys to the plate scoring another nine runs in the inning.
Pokes continued the big innings putting up 10 in the third and another nine in the fifth.
Pokes belted forty hits in the game almost matching the total of the first two combined (50).
Tanner finished the game with five hits including an inside the park home run; which will count on the stats... as a HR.
Clay added another HR out to his lead putting him at eight.  Zak added two more on the night.
