8pm vs Mad Dogs
W, 18-17
Mad Dogs have a little help from the 11th man (Old Man Umpire), but Pokes prevail with some walk off fireworks.
Slow Poke are lucky to have Shelby on the team as he carried them to the win. He had a solid game with three hits including two big home runs and five RBI's.
The game went back and forth with four lead changes.
Pokes put up a five spot in the first after Sage smacked a triple to right and was knocked in by a single to center by Nate. Shelby followed that up with a home run to left. After Josh H singled, Ross came to the plate and hit a line drive down the left field line that got by the fielder and Ross ended up on third for his first triple in the history of mankind. Zak extended his hit streak (99 games) with a single to score Ross.
The third inning featured Ross in the batters box...watching the game, his first strike out of the night. It didn't take long for a repeat while in the fourth Ross decided to build a campfire instead of hit and once again went down looking.
Entering the bottom of the sixth Pokes were down three runs. Three quick singles by Nate, Shelby, and Josh H loaded the bases for Ross. Scary yes, but Ross came through with a sacrifice fly to left center scoring Nate. Zak singled to score Shelby bringing up Josh P with two on and two out. Being down one made Josh extremely nervous, and it showed. Josh swing at the first pitch and launched a monster fly ball to shallow left. The shortstop ran back calling off the left fielder. He dropped it scoring Sage (courtesy runner for gimp Josh H) and sent Zak around the bases. With no third base coach Zak decided to "Benny" it and get into a pickle in between third and home. Somehow he slid home head first under the tag for the walk off win.
Scorebook reads line drive two RBI single for Josh P. Gotta love no errors in softball.

AA American
9pm at The Franchise
L, 16-17
The Franchise strikes again as Pokes have no answer.
Pokes make it close as they once again had numerous calls go against them.
The first inning saw Tylor smash a three run homer over the left field bleachers scoring Trevor and Jordan.
Not much could be strung together as Pokes weren't able to manage more than three runs in an inning until the sixth.
Entering the sixth Pokes were down 15-10. Trevor continued his solid night with a single to left and quickly scored from a double to left from Jordan. Tylor followed suit by singling to left. Tylor and Jordan then came around to score on a home run by Sage bringing Pokes within one. Nate continued his effectiveness with a single and then scored on another home run from Shelby (three homers on the night) putting Pokes up by one.
The Franchise scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the game.
Zak walked twice in the game, but failed to hit safely bringing his hit streak to an end at 99 games.
Team Competition is on!!!
All tied up for first place. Team HARF is comfortably bringing up the rear.
