It took a while to get going, but Pokes came through in the end. Slow Poke trailed by five in the fourth, but Zak was able to capture the lead back with a home run in the seventh, spurring Slow Poke to a 21-17 win in seven innings over Wired Nutz at Angel Stadium.

With the score tied at 17, Zak came to the plate and hit a grand slam, bringing home Josh, Shelby, and Tanner.

Zak racked up four RBIs on two hits for Slow Poke.

Jeremy racked up seven RBIs on three hits for Slow Poke. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

In the bottom of the second, Slow Poke grabbed the early lead, 3-1. Trevor kicked things off for Slow Poke with a single. A single by Mike then moved Trevor from first to second. More runs came home for Slow Poke when Mike and Bruce scored on a two-run double by Shelby.

Wired Nutz leadoff hitter homered, part of a six-run third inning for Wired Nutz.

It didn't take long for Slow Poke to answer as it scored four runs of its own in the fourth. Slow Poke scored on a sacrifice fly by Bruce and a three-run home run by Jeremy.

Slow Poke quickly matched Wired Nutz's strong inning with a seven-run inning of its own in the fifth. Slow Poke scored on an RBI double by Lamar, a sacrifice fly by Trevor, an RBI single by Mike, a two-run single by Jeremy, and a two-run double by Josh.

It didn't take long for Slow Poke to respond as it scored seven runs of its own in the seventh.









8pm Sportsmans Park

vs Do Not Resuscitate

L 16-18



Slow Poke failed to take advantage of Jim's effort at the plate on Thursday, losing 18-16 to Do Not Resuscitate in six innings at Sportsman's Park.

Jim racked up six RBIs on three hits for Slow Poke. He homered in the first and fifth innings and singled in the sixth inning.

Slow Poke jumped out to an early 4-1 lead in the bottom of the first. Slow Poke's rally started when Sage singled. A single by Lamar then moved Sage from first to second. Jim hit a grand slam, plating Sage, Lamar and Trevor.

Do Not Resuscitate never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning, scoring eight runs on two home runs.

Slow Poke faced just a 14-10 deficit entering the 5th. A two-run home run by Jim gave Slow Poke life. Josh flew out to end the Slow Poke threat.

Going into the 6th inning Slow Poke faced just a 18-16 deficit. Tanner started things off with a triple. An RBI single by Zak, a two-run double by Trevor, and a three-run home run by Mike fueled Slow Poke's comeback. Slow Poke's Josh flew out to end the ballgame.
