7pm vs Nolan's Law (AA American)
W, 22-8

What a great job put in by the seven actual Slow Pokes (eight if you count Josh) who showed up ready to play.  After two innings of eight man defense the game was tied at four.  Jim then went on a recruiting rampage bringing in two guys to fill in for the missing part timers.

Offensively had everyone contributing (almost everyone Trevor 0-5) with multiple hits each.  Zak and Jim each belted four hits with Jim and Shelby knocking in five RBI's apiece.

Shelby hit a three run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning to send Pokes up by seven and sealing the win.

Ebbetts Field

9pm vs Hit It Properly (A National)
L, 18-23

Pokes were the victims of their own mishaps as too many errors gave away the game.  Pokes were playing catchup the whole game and couldn't score enough runs to win.

You see the point of the game is to get your batter to go around the bases and make it home resulting in a score.  The team that ends up with the most batters coming around to score will win the game.

It was another fairly decent offensive performance (Lisle 0-4, K) with multiple timely hits.  Trevor made up for his first game with four hits and had the equivalent of three runs scored.  Bruce capped off a good night with two more hits and four RBI's.

Entering the final inning Sage was a homerun away from the cycle... enter Zak.  Sage had his fourth hit of the night and ended with three RBI's.

Shelby continued his HGH onslaught by ripping a 18 mph changeup over the left field stands.

Zak went 4-4 with a single, double, and two SOLO homeruns.

Career Milestones:

Sage Randall - 50 Triples and 250 RBI's on the last hit of the night.

  1. Put those that get on base the most in front of those who have the best Runners in scoring position average. All hit where ever the team needs me. I'm a wild card hitter. 50/50
