Ebbetts Field
7pm @ Master Batters (A Central)
W, 24-17
After giving up a huge second inning Pokes stayed focus and came away with a good win to start the season.
Ross started off on the right note with a nice line drive to left center. Zak followed with a double to center plating Ross. After a hustle single by Josh P, Clay smoked an RBI double to left. Jordan started his Slow Poke career with a single passed the third baseman and then scored on a three run blast by Sage.
The second inning was all Master Batters as Pokes trailed 6-15 entering the third. Three straight singles by Clay, Trevor, and Jordan got the inning going. Sage followed up with a two run triple to right center and then scored on a sacrifice fly from Skyler. Nate hit a single, Shelby doubled, and Josh H knocked in Nate to make the score a respectable 11-15.
The fourth saw Josh P lead off with a triple to center and then scored on a double by Clay. Trevor laced a single advancing Clay to third setting up a sacrifice fly from Jordan. Another couple of singles and Pokes scored another four runs evening the game at 15 apiece.
After Master Batters went up by one Pokes put the game away with a big inning; all with two outs. Josh P hit a towering tomahawk home run to center scoring Ross; followed by a solo jack by Clay. Trevor and Jordan then singled and scored behind Sages perfectly placed quadruple (home run in the book) down the right field line.
With the game in hand Josh H put up some insurance in the seventh demolishing a high fastball over the left field stands for a three run homer.

9pm @ Diversified (A East)
W, 26-14
Statement!!!
A nice win over Diversified to get back on the winning track against the current Champs.
The first was big bringing across nine runs with everybody except Nate and Zak having a hit. Clay and Skyler each had two run triples to lead the way in the inning. Pokes never looked back and continued to pour it on.
Diversified made a decent effort, but couldn't catch up. The second inning was rather quick, but featured a solo bomb from Sage and a two run tater from Shelby scoring Nate.
Jordan lead the way in the third with an inside the park home run (quadruple) scoring Josh P and Clay. Pokes ended the game on a ten run fifth inning to finish the game and ending the slugfest.
Shelby lead the way by hitting for the cycle and going 4-4 with 6 RBI's. His cycle was the first of his career.
