D-Backs vs Nationals
W, 8-7

It was a long two innings with the D-Backs squeezing out a win.

Walker Cunningham took the mound to start to the game.  The first batter took three balls and then jumped on a strike hitting a scorching ground ball to new second baseman Christopher Alston.  Christopher made a tough play look easy and threw to first baseman Mason Biship for the out.  After four straight walks Walker buckled down and struck out the next two batters to hold the Nationals to one run.

The D-Backs wasted little time on the offensive end with Mitchell Houston leading off with a line drive triple to left field.  Walker followed that with a walk bringing up Bo Randall.  Bo saw no strikes as there were three passed balls scoring Mitchell and also bringing in Walker.

Tyrus Randall came in to pitch the second and the Nationals got the benefit of a number of shaky calls by the umpire.  The inning ended with the Nationals leading 7-2.

D-Backs still had some fight in them with the first three batters, Luke Bowden, Ricky Whetten, and Mason all working walks to load the bases.  Mitchell took three balls and then hit a hard grounder to the right center field for a double and cleared the bases.  Nationals pitchers struggled the rest of the way walking the final five batters and giving the D-Backs the win.
