Slow Poke come from behind and beat EON.

It was a familiar sight as Mike Eager and Jim Seiferth made their return to fill in for the massive exodus (for a week only) of Pokes taking the night off.

After being down six runs entering the 3rd Pokes were in need of a big inning to make the game close.  Zak led off with a single and Trevor F walked on three pitches.  Sage then smoked a double to right center to bring them around.  Singles by Laramie, Mike, Tanner, Jim, and Lisle kept the inning going bringing another four runs across.  Two more singles by Shelby and Zak continued the inning setting up back to back doubles by Trevor F and Sage to bring the inning run total to 11.

The fourth inning had Pokes swinging for the fences as Jim and Sage each hit bombs to bring across another five runs.

In the sixth Pokes were only up by four in need of some insurance runs.  After Trevor F flied out to left Sage walked on a full count setting up Mike for a two run homer and some breathing room.

EON made it interesting scoring five runs but a long fly ball to center was tracked down by Skyler to close the game out.

10pm vs Master Batters (W)
W, 25-4

Never in doubt.

After a close first game Slow Poke were in need of a spark to shut down Master Batters early.

Top of the first saw a brilliant play at third by Sage to set the tone early.  A scorching grounder down the line was surely going for extra bases until Sage dove to his right to corral the ball in foul ground and threw to first from his knees for the out (two bonus points).

After that there was no question who the better team was.  Shelby led the way with seven RBI's and Laramie kept the pressure on by diving head first into first base, second base, and third base on separate occasions to receive the hustle award for the night (one bonus point).

With the game well in hand and pushing for the lead to reach twenty and go home Zak had a wildly soft Texas leaguer over the second baseman for a "walk off" hit (two bonus points) and score Skyler (one bonus point).

Lisle pitched a great game holding Master Batters to only four runs.   Yup, give him a bonus point.
