vs Slumpbusters

Another poor hitting day causes Pokes to lose both on the night.  

Slow Pokes score in every inning except the 6th, but never score more than 3 in an inning.  After giving up four unearned in the first Pokes held on to the lead until the final inning giving up 6.  

Only 5 Pokes batters put up 2 hits on the game with Clay leading the way with 5 RBI's.  No timely hitting on the game cost them the win.

Yankee Stadium

vs Grassholes

L, 16-28

Grassholes too much for Pokes with strong hitting performance and extra HR's.

Pokes once again couldn't get anything going causing too many quick inning at the plate. 

Jeremy had a nice game going 3-3 with 2 HR's and 7 RBI's making up for his strikeout that ended the previous game.  Jim followed with 4 RBI's and a HR.

Zak had a good hitting night going 4-4 with a walk, but only scored 2 runs due to the lack of production from the 2 spot.

 An interesting stat on the season shows Clay hitting .308 (4-13) with no runners on base.  With runners on he is hitting a respectable .600 (12-20).  Obviously more base runners are good!
