D-Backs vs Nationals
L, 14-15

After a huge first inning D-Backs unable to hold the lead.

D-Backs lead off the first with Rushton Shirts and Gracie Rogers each reaching base on walks.  Mason Biship stepped in the box and,  after a wild pitch scored Rushton, was quickly beaned by an inside fastball.  Could this have been retaliation for his previous games monster RBI line drive to left?  Mason held back and trotted to first base like a true professional.  Mitchell then walked to load the bases bringing up Luke Bowden.  Luke knocked in Gracie after hitting a scorching ground out that was gobbled up by the second baseman.
With runners on second and third Aiden Ohl slowly walked to the plate staring down the pitcher.  Aiden got two quick strikes, but kept his focus.  He hit a tough two strike pitch to the pitcher and beat out the throw to first to score Mason.  Bo Randall strolled to the plate looking to break the game open...but saw four straight balls and took a walk to load the bases.  Ricky Whetten took his hacks at the plate striking out swinging on three straight nasty 35 MPH fastballs.  Tyrus Randall walked on four straight balls to once again load the bases.  Walker Cunningham walked to the plate knowing he wasn't going to walk and took matters into his own hands.  He smoked a second pitch fastball to center field for a triple and three RBI's clearing the bases.  D-Backs had a comfortable lead at 7-0.
Luke took the mound and immediately protected his first baseman, Mason, by beaning the Nationals leadoff man sending a message to not mess with the D-Backs.  The next batter singled up the middle and was cut off on a nice play by Rushton to keep the runners on first and second.  After a walk to load the bases Nationals sent up their big bat #7.  With the count 2 and 2, Mitchell called for a high fastball.  This would prove costly as #7 roped a fly ball to right center.  The fleet of foot Bo just missed the ball and it rolled to the wall for a grand slam.  Luke came back strong striking out the next two batters to end the inning.
D-Backs could only muster one run in the second thanks to Christopher Alston.  Christopher walked to lead off the inning, stole second, stole third, and then stole home.
Walker took the mound in the second and started off strong striking out two of the first four batters.  The rest of the inning was tough as the Nats put across six runs to take the lead 11-8.
D-Backs responded with six runs of their own in the third.  After walks by Aiden, Ricky, and Tyrus, Walker singled to the pitcher to continue the inning.  Christopher walked, and Rushton hit a dribbler to the pitcher who attempted to get the runner going home, but Tyrus beat him to the plate making the score 11-11.  Gracie made it to first...on a walk bringing up Mason.  Mason came through once again hitting a line drive double to right center to score Christopher and Rushton.  D-Backs took a 14-11 lead to the bottom of the third.
Big Tyrus Randall took the mound in a save situation.  It did not end favorably for the D-Backs.  Tyrus fought the mound all inning and walked a grip of Nationals and after a pop up fell in for a hit the Nationals took the game 15-14.
